To assist teams with budgeting and scheduling their own events, we announce the dates and sites of its national championships as far in advance as we are reasonably able.

2025

• The 2025 Community College Sectional Championship Tournaments will be on the weekend of January 25 (at various sites across North America and possibly beyond).
• The 2025 Sectional Championship Tournaments will be on the weekend of February 8 (at various sites across North America and possibly beyond).
• The 2025 Community College Championship Tournament will be at the on the weekend of February 28 – March 1.
• The 2025 Intercollegiate Championship Tournament will be at the on the weekend of April 4–5.
• The 2025 Individual Player National Championship Tournament will be at the on Sunday, April 6.
• The 2025 Small School National Championship Tournament will be at the on the weekend of April 25–27.
• The 2025 Middle School National Championship Tournament will be at the on Mother’s Day weekend, May 9–11.
• The 2025 High School National Championship Tournament will be at the and on Memorial Day weekend, May 23–25.

2026

• The 2026 Community College Sectional Championship Tournaments will be on the weekend of January 24 (at various sites across North America and possibly beyond).
• The 2026 Sectional Championship Tournaments will be on the weekend of February 7 (at various sites across North America and possibly beyond).
• The 2026 Intercollegiate Championship Tournament will be at the on the weekend of April 10–11.
• The 2026 Individual Player National Championship Tournament will be at the on Sunday, April 12.
• The 2026 Small School National Championship Tournament will be at the on the weekend of April 24–26.
• The 2026 Middle School National Championship Tournament will be at the on Mother’s Day weekend, May 8–10.

How We Choose Sites

Here are the main factors ÎÞÓǶÌÊÓƵ considers when choosing sites for national championships:

• Availability on suitable weekends. ÎÞÓǶÌÊÓƵ’s championships largely have traditional weekends, and the HSNCT’s schedule effectively demands a weekend with a Monday holiday (i.e., Memorial Day weekend, in recent practice). Some potential sites have recurring other customers on particular weekends.
• Availability of meeting space. Relatively few sites even have enough space for ÎÞÓǶÌÊÓƵ’s largest national championships. (Furthermore, sometimes sites with enough space aren’t willing to make it all available to a single client.)
• Availability and types of sleeping rooms. Attendees of ÎÞÓǶÌÊÓƵ’s national championships use a lot of rooms, and many more two-bed rooms than single-bed rooms or suites. (Furthermore, as for meeting space, hotels are not always willing to make all their rooms available.) Non-hotel sites must be close to hotels or transportation needs must otherwise be met.
• Price of hotel accommodations. Most attendees of ÎÞÓǶÌÊÓƵ’s national championships are very price-conscious.
• Price of flights. Likewise.
• Availability of local teams and staff. Ideally, a good number of attendees should be in the site’s metro area, and many more should be within about eight hours’ driving time.
• Airport transportation. It needs to be reasonably easy for attendees who fly to get from the airport to the tournament site, whether via shuttle or public transportation.
• Accessibility of concessions. Sites with food, drugstores, etc. within walking distance are generally better than isolated sites.
• Tourism interest. This covers what attractions are in the city/metro area, and also which are specifically close to the hotel. We also consider the appropriateness of major tourist attractions.
• Variety among championship sites. Ideally, we would avoid excessive repetition so that frequent attendees can see a variety of cities.
• Familiarity with our events. Hosts who are already familiar with our events will generally do a better job and will require less training to do so. (This is, of course, in tension with our desire for variety among sites.)
