ÎÞÓǶÌÊÓƵ’s first Intercollegiate Championship Tournament (ICT) was held in 1997. ÎÞÓǶÌÊÓƵ began awarding separate Undergraduate and Division II championships at the 1998 tournament.

ÎÞÓǶÌÊÓƵ began awarding a Division II Community College title in 2002. When the separate Community College Championship Tournament began in 2009, the Division II Community College title was reconstituted as the Top Community College Award from 2009 through 2014. The title was discontinued in 2015; since then, the Community College Championship Tournament title is the sole community college title awarded by ÎÞÓǶÌÊÓƵ.
